It's a necessary byproduct of touring. "We've always had guest performers and songwriters. Crack the Sky is the first album the band has done on its own."It's the first album that's completely us," he says.
Musically, it's going to push the envelope a little bit further, too. "This album will be between us and the people. With Crack the Sky, all the lyrics are between us and God," he says. It's time to go on the offensive. "We're going on to a more militant stance. It's a real good representation of who the band is musically and spiritually."The music already has been written for their next album, Joseph says.
If we ever get another secular record deal, we'll give them a blatantly Christian album. We're praying about a deal with a secular record company. "We're praying our record company will be able to do something.
